Giovani Mesa

Early Life

From a young age, Giovani was passionate about helping others. His parents often brought him and his siblings to charity events and volunteer opportunities, something his own family continues to do. Evidently, Giovani notes this exposure as a motivating factor for pursuing a career in law.

Academics

Giovani’s successful academic career began in 2002. He attended Florida Atlantic University and received a B.A in Political Science and Government with distinction. Although Giovani was deeply invested in his academics, he also cherished group activities. Specifically, Giovani participated in the following:

  • Vice President of the Political and International Affairs Society (Vice President),
  • Pi Sigma Alpha
  • Vice President of Pre-Law Club 
  • Student Government
  • American Political Science Association

Furthermore, upon graduation Giovani attended a law program at the University of Auvergene in France. Specifically, this program focused on French Business Law and European Union Law. Coupled with his JD and certificate in International Comparative Law (2010) from FCSL, Giovani has developed a vast understanding of the legal system. Moreover, while attending FCSL, Giovani achieved the following:

  • Dean’s List
  • Dean’s Scholar List
  • the Book Award for the Highest Grade in Law and Economics.

Lastly, in 2011 Giovani received his LL.M. in advanced studies in European and International Business Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands. In short, Giovani has an incredibly advanced experience with international business law.

Family 

Currently, Giovani resides in Miami, Florida with his wife and daughter.  Now that his education is complete, Giovani has settled in at a Florida firm practicing international business law. While he spends a lot of time at the office, he prioritizes spending time with his family. Together they enjoy sailing and hiking.
